Default Fog lights

I have a 99 cherokee, with the stock bumper, that has the 2 cut-outs for fog lights, and i want to put them in. Where would i find the factory ones that will bolt right in place, as well as a possible kit for wiring, and how would one go about wiring them, i know that there is a place on the dash for the factory fog light switch (right by the rear window defroster switch and rear wiper switch), but still need a little more info on the wiring, and how to install that switch. And are there any fuses or relays that have to (or should) be used with those lights. I'm currently an automotive student, currently learning electrical, but i'm not an expert yet. And i could do this installation as a class project

TIA

It's probably got the wiring. Poke around up there and see.

Agreed the wiring is probably there.

For lights and brackets check out the part out's in classifieds, or a vendor like Quadratec for new.. ebay probably has them also.

Tip: ZJ lights are the same, but the brackets differ.

Check your PDC to see if the Fog Lamp Relay #1 has any pin cavities in it that the relay would plug into. If not, your Heep is not wired for fog lamps.

Pic of PDC shows a complete compliment of relays and fuses. Not all XJ's are outfitted this way.

I bought
THIS THIS
pair of fog lights off of Amazon for my '01. Very rugged, bulbs included, and work great! Mine was already factory wired for them though.

I had these on my Jeep, and I blew one out on a trail one day, the frame was mangled and the plastic was gone. If you could fit the 4" Rigid Industries LED lights in there, because those are very durable and would look sick if you could afford the 200$ a piece for them.

+1 on these lights. I just got them last week. they are identicle to stock and work great. That was the cheapest I could find too. If you have the wiring then you just need a switch, a relay, and 4 bolts for the brackets. I had foglights already that were destroyed so it was plug and play for me.

+2 I bought these lights (twice, I crashed it once). The housing is good, the bulbs not so much. After having the fuse blow at least once a week for my fog lights I was sure something was shorting out. I read on here where someone recommended replacing the bulbs with some manufactured in Japan I gave it a shot and 15 months later they still work great. Don't ask me why but for less than $10 it was worth a try and glad I did. Just picked them up at either advance or AA and looked closely at the back of the pkg for mfg location. The clerk thought I was being picky ... Feel free to ignore them... It's your jeep not theirs!

Here's how I hijacked the factory wiring all but the very end bits. should you want a factory switch or 3 switch panel with switches, I have them.

I put Rigid Duallys on mine. They work great. 10x brighter than the headlights. I have 2 sets on my JK too.

I was looking at those but on the 2000 xj the stock bumper has the two spots for fogs and I was looking for some the size of two of those together.
