Thats impossible.

 

It's a very old thread, so I apologize in advance. But I wanted to add a little bit that may help someone whose SKIM is damaged. It's possible to go to the junkyard and if you can find a same model with the ECM, SKIM module AND matching key you can use all three to get your ride going again. The key has to be from that vehicle to work since the ECM, SKIM and key are all matched. Might be quicker than finding a place, shipping your ECM to get the SKIM turned off. And, since if you've been targeted by thieves, you might not want to turn the SKIM off.

edit: forgot to add that you might also change the keylock too to the matching one, or I guess you could just tape the new SKIM key to your current key so that it is close enough to the SKIM module to start.

 

There is a local private online seller who advertises the whole lot as a package for about $A350, (as well as other parts, seems like he wrecks a few vehicles at a time)

There is at least one other specialist Jeeps wrecker and parts seller I know of, they probably do the same thing

Its good to have specialist parts sellers who know what they are doing

Its lucky they made millions of XJ

I own a vehicle, they only made about 5000, so you sometimes have no choice at all but to rely on knowledgeable private sellers,
I have saved a few guys backsides, as I have collected parts for it over the years

 

Does anyone have a picture of the harness connector for the 2000 Cherokee SKIM pn 56009712af?

I am looking for one for a friend who has a jeep outside of the USA. He had someone work on it and they botched that part of the harness and hes trying to get it back to original
