Best sounding exhaust ever, get a nice new cherry bomb, pour about 1/4 gallon af gas in it, roll it around untill the fiberglass soaks up most of it, pour out the extra gas, throw a match in it and stand back.Thatl burn out the fiberglass and put an expansion chamber in an otherwise straight pipe and give it a nice deep rumble.

Ok so i know they look dumb as hell on a jeep but ive got a $30 "titanium race muffler" off ebay that makes my 4 banger VW sound like a 7.3 powerstroke!!! It has twin turn up tips but you could turn them down under the jeep and it would sound pretty awesome i believe!!! Otherwise 14" glasspack with groundpounder is the way to go!!!!

Currently on my 2000 xj sport 4.0 i6 I'm running a 2.5inch pipe with no cat stock headers and a flowmaster 40 series and a single pipe out the back with a slash cut 10 inch long tip with a 3 to 3 and a half inch opening. Sounds very well and was a cheap set up. Its not gonna sound like a v8 going down the road but I can tell you that its gonna turn heads sounding that way....no pissed bumble bee at all also........hope this helped...btw the setup ran me $180.00.
my inspection sticker is a year and 3 months out of date and i've yet to be pulled over. i also dont run a front license place
im such an illegal haha

I have yet to hear any 4.0L exhaust system that has a modified exhaust system sound good. They all sound like farting hondas and nissans to me. Keep in mind, everything I work on and drive has 5 and 6 inch systems with 500 hp cats and cummins for power , LOL
