I can’t really seem to find anyone saying how they welded back in the seat mount bolts for a new floor pan. All of the images of the floor pans I’ve seen don’t have anywhere to mount the seat to the pan, and given that I’m installing seats out of a 92 XJ, I don’t need my seat riser. Does anyone have any pictures or measurements or something of where I need to weld in bolts to mount my seat?
I’m also going to weld in new support for the seats whenever I find out where I need to weld in the bolts. I don’t want my seat just attached to the floor pan

On my 96, the rear of the front seat bolts to the strips that tie the uniframe to the door sill, and the seatbelt mount in the drive tunnel. One tapped hole and one stud. Don’t know about other years, but I would think that all front seats attach to this structure and not straight to the floor skin. At least I would hope so.

(Well that didn’t work as planned, just go to post #5 in the thread.)
If yours is like this, and you already welded in the floor skin, you could drill from below to mark the holes, then match drill the skin.
What I did was drop in a seat and attach the rear bolts centered in the slots, line it up forward, and mark the front locations. Also making sure the tracks weren’t going to bind.
For my front holes, I didn’t bother drilling. I welded on elevator bolts for use as studs. Tacked them on at first, to bolt it all in and check the slide mechanism, in case I had to tweak one or both before welding them on good.

As a side note, I wonder how the front of the front seats attached to a 94 and lower floor pan. Was there another bracket or did they attach to the floor pan, and that’s why they added a “riser” after 94?

The studs at the front come down through the flanges on either side of the frame channel, making it a double thickness of material without needing an extra doubler...
