I have heard that you need to disconnect the battery when welding on vehicles? Is this true? They don't disconnect it when doing exhaust so I just want to check to be sure.

Turns out the stock battery clamps last about 16 years. Any certain type of terminal clamp better than another?

What should I use to seal the joints? Do I need to use automotive seam sealer or can I use just a standard silicone?
