Cool Flexplate and CPS questions

Not sure if im posting in the right folder. But i need help. 98 xj 4.0L auto transmission. 6in long arm kit 33x12x50. Jeep is my friends and he put a 1994 4.0L HO in due to issue with original motor. He didnt know better so put 94 flexplate in with 94 motor. Is there anything that can be done/altered on CPS so it will run? Or are the flexplates the same? Im totally lost. Please help

94 Flexplate and CPS won't work.

You'll need a 98 FP and CPS.
