hey guys quick question
I think the flex plate has cracked on my 98 XJ as the knocking has got louder, now XJ's arent that common in junkyards here in the UK, so cant just go out and strip one off,
however my local garage has a brand new one off a Grand Cherokee fitted with the 4.0 that they ordered in for someone several years back but they never came back for it, so are the flexplates the same on all of the 4.0's ??
fingers crossed they are as the price they want for its very very cheap

What year was the Grand Cherokee?
I've never fooled with one but I'm quite certain that the Grand Cherokee uses a different Torque Converter and Flex plate. I seriously doubt you'll be able to use it.
New flex plate costs 129.00 here.
