Flasher re-visited
I've found quite a few post on the turn signals & emergency flashers not working. Seems there's more than one location & I finally found mine behind the dash on drivers side. It is a 99 plain Cherokee RHD.
The turn signals would come on & sometimes flash but mostly not. The flashers wouldn't come on at all. The flasher unit I removed is an EP27. Is this the only one I need to replace or are there 2? If so I can't locate a second one but I'm going back to look again after dark with flashlight.
Anything else I might be missing?
Thanks for any info.
Btw, I replaced the turn signal unit in the steering column to no avail.

Wow, 48 views & no one had the answer. Must not be as common a problem as I thought. Thankfully I got it working.
Apparently there is only one flasher on my model & it can work part of the time so it's a good place to start if you have similar issues. Getting to it is another story. It's not in an easy to reach area & even worse when you're not familiar with removing dash panels. Some pop in, some have screws & some have both. Best to be gentle.
Autoparts wanted $16 for one but if that hadn't been it I'm sure I'd have been stuck with it. Best to check the scrapyard first. I picked up about 5 & a handful of spare fuses for $5.
