I have decided on Tempered Hardboard. Easy to cut, easy to staple, easy to bond to, cheap, and just plain easy to work with. Before the cost of fabric, I have a running total of $50.54

Drivers side front panel is 85% finish minus fabric. It is shaped and mounted. Only need to tweak a couple things and it'll be set and ready for fabric. It's 4am and my battery is dead from having the doors open all day. I will probably post a pic tomorrow if I have time in between jobs.

Were you able to staple the door upholstery to the hardboard?

I am not using the factory upholstery, It's full of mud, mold, and years of grime. I will be using whatever fabric I find that I like. I'm highly allergic to mold, and the Jeep is filled with it..

My reasons for making new panels:
10% waterproofing
50% stock ones are beyond beat up..
30% health reasons
10% 'cuz it's custom and nobody has done it before...

How about a teaser pic from the build process?

Sorry for the size of the pic.. uploaded to photobucket and here from my phone. I can't tell how big it really is.
