If you compare the cost of repair against the cost of replacement, it would make for a good arguement to keep it. Even if you spent $2000 on a new trans, $1500 on a new engine, $1000 on a complete brake rebuild, and $1000 on a complete suspension rebuild. You would still only be around 1/4 the cost of a new vehicle.

i agree 100%, and that thing looks brand new
Very valid points here!!! Definitely got me thinking... How many miles on average does a 1994 last? The oil is changed regularly and do the normal tuneups. 216,000 seems like alot and bound to have something go wrong, or am I just thinking the worst? It sounds like most guys on here are doing the work themselves. If you had to pay a shop to do the work, would you still keep it?
