Fix or Sell
Hello everyone,
New guy here. Just curious on anyones opinion on whether I should keep or sell my Laredo. 216,000 miles on the chassis. Brand new brakes, newer tires, new muffler.
Problem is it won't go into reverse. New Tranny? Is it worth fixing?
Would love any input.
Thanks

Yes it is worth fixin. The way ole Jeeps are selling now it would be best to just hold on to it. If you were to sell it with a bad tranny you are only looking to get 500 bucks with that many miles. You can pick up a JY tranny for that for almost nothing. Then have some fun learning how to put it in.

Replace the tranny and drive it until the wheels fall off. That is the cleanest GC I've seen in awhile.
Thanks to everyone who replied. I agree that it is worth fixing, however my wife is pretty set on getting something newer. So I think that we are probably going to end up selling it. Thanks again!
I have been reading through alot of posts on this forum. Lots of good stuff!

Why not fix it keep it and get something else then? If you think about it, as clean as that is.. Do you really think you will find something newer with better build quality and reliability? I doubt it. Where are you and what engine/trans is in it?
