Default Fitting 35"s??

Currently running 32" STT's and with the current RE 4.5 super flex plus 1" spacers up front and longer shakles in back with Bushwacker flares I can still rub.

Want to upgrade to long arm set up and would like to go to 35's but RE only goes to 5.5 and know thats not enough. How much lift would it take and is it workable on the trail?

Anyone with experience on the Rock Krawler 6.5" rear spring kit? Real spendy.

Suggestions welcomed.

re 5.5'' is big enough for 35's. i ran this combo for a few years with no rubbing. trimmed fenders no flares. im sure the pockets in the cut out flares is big enough

bumpstop to prevent fender contact w/ tire...and cut out some more of your fenders. im on those same RE 4.5 springs/leaves on 33's...ill be going to 35's also and ive got plenty of space

with 35s you also need to think about axle strength...

You're always going to run into issues of rub when running 35x12.50 or larger tires. The wheel wells are just physically too small, and lift has little to do with how much rub you have. You have to bumpstop properly in order to limit uptravel so that you don't rub. I run 33's on the 4.5" kit, trimmed front and rear, and don't rub due to proper bumpstopping. You're better off keeping your COG lower with larger tires, the stability is great, and the setup typically works well. Definately go to long arms though, night and day difference over short arms, and it'll work great with 4.5" of lift as well.

Last said before, RE goes bigger than 4.5, I know because that's what I have on mine. I run 39's sometimes and don't rub one bit. They are 39dia and 16wide, a big fat tire with no rubbing at full flex.

don't waste your money on a whole new lift kit

you can fit 35's just fine and dandy at the height you are at
