I am looking at a 1991 Jeep Cherokee laredo 4x4 4.0L H.O.
the guy wants 290.00, parts or fix... i was planning to fix.
by the pictures he gave me it needs rear wheel well repair and pass rocker, needs fuel pump (to start engine), 375,000 km.

on the plus side - all glass intact

havent looked at it yet but was planning on doing so today
anything I should really look for to get a awsome deal.

check the floor boards. if the wheel wells and rocker are rotted theres a good chance the floor will be too. btw welcome to the forum

 

I bought my Jeep for $400. It was running and I drove it home. But man I have replaced a grocery list and now I am at $1400 total including the purchase of the Jeep and i am ready to start driving. I think its not a bad deal because I wanted the experience to restore it anyways. I had to get all 4 wheels/tires/windshield/whole exhaust/and then alot of little parts including replace valve cover gasket. Cherokees are fun to work on (I enjoy wranglers more but they are a little more $$)

 

thx guys.... what i want to do it have a DD/weekend warrior to camp, fish and do ill i'd like it to on a budget... need another vehicle anyway when the wife gets her licence.

anyother info on these vehicles is greatly appreciated since I've only changed a PS pump in a cherokee lol

Oh yeah and for part prices cherokee's are they fairly reasonable? for wheeling purposes.

 

Ok not sure if ill regret it but im passing up this jeep but looking for another ... i talked myself out of it ... since i just got news that sellers had accepted my offer on a house today so i am on more of a strict budget then before ... so ill be looking for one that actually runs lol since the fuel pump assembly is worth more than the vehicle itself
