Question about lift/tires/MPG
So I am wanting to purchase either the 3" or 4.5" and put 31"s on my Jeep. My question is who here has that setup and uses their Jeep as a DD??? I want to get an idea of what kind of MPG I should expect. I drive a 55 highway 10 miles to work each day so mostly highway travel. Will I break 15?? If I cant get decent MPG then I will keep my 235's and put a little 2" lift on.

i run this setup, and i noticed a slight change, but i'm pretty easy on the skinny pedal (on the road at least..). but these things don't really start out designed to get great gas mileage so you know..if your easy on the gas and keep your tires balanced and what not you should be ok.

Ya I drive slow when im just commuting. When im not I give it the gas. 90% of the time I dont get into the trottle.. So how much MPG you get with the 3.5" and 31" tires? I thought I read that you could actually get around 18 if you tried.

well I have about 5.5" with 33s and I get a great big 10mpg... of course I am sometimes heavy on the skinny pedal, and my cruise doesn't work.

My truck gets 10 mpg so I bought the cherokee to get better gas mileage and because I miss owning my old Jeep lol. Cool so I should be above 15 with my lift/tires. Good deal.

I have a 2000 XJ with 31s and i get about 14 at 70mph at about 1500 feet above sea level. At about 5000 above sea level i get about 10. '
In the MN winter i get about 12. My Cummins diesel gets a constant 20 so i drive that all the time
