Does any one know if a dana 30 was ever mass produced with 4.56 gears? if so what did it come in?

And all these talks of rear axle swaps, are there any front axle swaps that are like the Ford 8.8 and require only minor fabrication mods?

 

i dought it 4 cyl cherokees came with 411 thats as high of gear ive heard

 

3.07 - used with 4.0L engine / manual transmission
3.31 - only available on older (pre87?) 2 door XJs with "Fuel Economy" package
3.55 - used with 4.0L engine / automatic transmission
3.73 - found in some XJs with the towing package
4.10 - used with 2.5L engine usually, and older XJs with the "Off-Highway Vehicle" package.
4.56 - rare but can be found on some older (~ 89 ~) models with 2.5L engine and auto transmission

4.56 gear axles are about as rare to find as the turbo diesel motor is to find in a comanche.... none my friends have ever come across one

as for the swap,(for an XJ) not really...... other than going full-width and doing custom coil spring buckets and control arm mounts and trac bar mounts on the swap in axle anything swapped into the front from any other rig is gonna entail the same basic setup

 

those 456 gotta be rare they dont even list them in the factory jeep cherokee spec info i found i got 410s from a 4banger with auto matic three monts ago thoses were hard to find
