Default finally getting my lift! same old question..

should i get the 2" add a leaf or shackle? my leafs are pretty flat :P
1. im shipping to bootcamp in december and dont think add a leaf will sag before then.
2. if i use a shackle on flat springs will it flip them upside down like a sadface.
opinions plz

If your leafs are already flat that means your rear is sagging, so adding a add a leaf wont make it sit much higher than stock height. In other words the rear will still be sagging. Why do you just want a 2" lift if you dont mind me asking?

If you only want 2". Get a 2" spacer for the front. Then do a AAL, using the mains from a pair of S-10 packs from the Junkyard. This way you have the rest of the S-10 pack for when you're done with Boot, to do your 3-4" lift.

Ahh I see. I say go the bastard pack route with the add a leaf. You shouldn't need new shackles.

2" spacer from ebay $25, set of S10 rear springs from a JY $30(use just the main with eyes cut off). this will get you 2" lift. You don't need anything else.
When you get done with Boot, you will have some cash available. You also have the parts for up to 4" of lift for the rear. While at Boot you collect the rest of the parts you will need for the higher lift. If you spend the pay you get during Boot on Jeep parts you won't be able to spend it getting yourself into trouble. There are lots of military guys that build their rigs while they are in boot or deployed.
