Short of getting an aftermarket diff cover with a threaded plug, is there a way to stop the OE rubber plug from leaking?
Definately think the engineers were drunk the day they added this design.

I agree with cruiser54. Try a new plug. If it still leaks you can always do as I did. Add a little teflon tape. I know that you shouldn't have to especially with a rubber or plastic plug. But it work for me, and you got to do what you got to do. BTW, Mine hasn't leaked since.

Mine was pretty loose so I just wrapped it up until it was really snug and and worked it in. When I did mine i didn't have any silicone at the time and I had plenty of tape.
