Do your home work before moding the factory rad fan set-up. The OE fans are not the weak link. The OE factory efan has been tested/rated at 2300 CFM and the OE factory belt driven fan will move way more CFM than the OE efan at just above idle speed with a good fan clutch.

I have this set-up along with their aluminum radiator...I only hooked 2 fans up and only had to run them when I was stopped in traffic, it ran a little on the hotter side, but nothing that seemed to hurt it. I have never taken offroad and put the setup through REAL work...

But like djb383 said, the factory fans are not the weak link, I will prob go back to factory setup, I have read around that some people do the same thing and their temps drop more than expected...I'm just waiting for them to go bad then I will go back to factory setup

Thank you very much for input. My temps are fine, just always on the look out. I have had issues in the past with different xjs. The only upgrade I have is a 3 core radiator. I would like to get new fan shrouds that hook up more flush, and are not jerry rigged on there.

Do your homework on rads also. Unless the 3 row core is thicker, has more fins per inch and more tubes vertically than the OE 1.25" thick 1 row rad, the 3 row is likely less efficient than the OE 1 row.
