I trimmed the front fenders today. i think they came out very well. im debating on whether or not to remove the rubber inner fender. what did others do? also did you put anything in the big gap behinde the fender (the part where the hinges are? i can see right through to the other side. Also on the rear fenders i am going to do them tomorrow. i just want to cut off the part where the flare bolts on. am i gonna run into any problems cutting off just that part? any tips? tin snips or cutoff wheel?

Remove the inner fender on the front. For the rear, I would not cut any higher than the bolt holes for the flare brackets. If you do, you'll be into the pinch weld and you do not want to seperate the 2. Your hands will hate you if you use tin snips on the rear. And you'll hate yourself for using them. Use a cut-off wheel.

i just want to cut off the part the flare bolts to so the holes are gone. will have to fold them or can i just cut them off?

you can just cut them off but yeah just be careful about goin too far into the pinch...its not a fun fix. and for the front if you havent already you can take the old rubber and made a lil patch for it, and also idk if your fenders will be flimsy but mine wer so i just made a bracket out of some scrap metal. if you want to cut more on the back you can always tub it. just takes time is all

its where you take out the existing tub, or the wheel well, and make a new, deeper, one that go's in it's place, like what ppl that bag there trucks do. type in wheel tubbing on google images and thats a rough idea of what you would be doing, drag cars do this to fit wide slicks, but i did it to cut my fenders.

What other answer do you need?

Just don't cut above the hole and you'll be fine. You can cut or you can make slits in the curved areas and bend in with a hammer. It should take all of about 10 mins with a cutting wheel and maybe 30 with the cut and hammer.

What gap are you talking about? Can you post a pic of what you're meaning? Cause the only gap I can think of is the gap at the bottom of the fender next to the door. If that's it, don't worry about it. Wash it out after use.
