fender trimming question

Default fender trimming question

I was gonna attempt this the other night and stopped when i realized that i had no idea what to do with the fender liners. Do you guys leave them on or take them off? All help is greatly appreicated. Pics would be great also.

Rip em out! Theres also a support bracket above it that attachs to the inner fenderwell, you can pull that out too.
The rear is a little trickier. The quarter panel and the inner fender are attached together around the wheelwell by a pinchweld. After you remove the flares you can feel where the two different sheetmetals meet and the weld spots. One way to "trim" this up is to notch almost till where the metal seperates and then hammer it back and up.

I suggest using a jig saw with a good quality metal cutting blade. Thats what i used and it worked very well. If your worried about the paint you might want to get some painters tape and a sharpie and cover your front fender with the painters tape any where the base of the jig saw touches so you dont scratch the paint. Then just draw out where you want to cut and start hackin.
