Hey guys i wanna fit 31's on my cherokee it has a 2in spacer on the front of it. Is there a way to trim the fenders but still retain the stock flare,i dont want that hacked up look. i searched but couldnt find many pics of trimmed xj's retaining stock flairs. Any pics or info would be appreciated.
Thanks

You can trim up to the holes in the fenders, to gain some cleanance while leaving the fenders in the stock position.
Or you can cut past the holes, move the fenders up more, redrill the holes and mount them higher and trim the fenders to match the body line

i have 31's with spacer lift, 1.5" rear 1.75" front... barely had to trim for normal driving... have not wheeled it yet but it will probably rub in the front some

I trimmed mine and was able to use the the factory mounting set up by transferring the bolt pattern on the front flares higher up on the fender, after cutting the fender. The rear flares had to be screwed on- as you won't be able to access the back side to attach them after trimming the sheet metal. pm me with a reminder tomorrow, and i'll load some pics into my albums for you to look at. There are pics of the shields that i made to keep mud and garbage off of the hinges in my albums if you are not keeping the inner factory liners.

I found the best thing is to use a smaller cutting wheel. I've seen tons of people use big cutting wheels and they destroy the fenders. I would put the fender flares back on but i like more mud

I cleaned my fenders really good and used a small tip dry erase marker and made my line where I wanted to cut and trimmed the fenders and left them like they were.
