Default Fender flare painting suggestions

Need to take off my flares and bumpers and paint them because they are so white and chalky looking. I have heard of two products people use. This is going on my DD so it won't see anything rough. Duplicolor and krylon fusion plastic are the two I have heard of. Anyone have any preferences on which product works better? Have any tips prior before I paint them? What is the best way to prep my work so I can make sure there is a good bond with the paint? Is there any sort of promoter that you can use before the paint to make sure it bonds well? Thanks

If you do mudding I don't recommend ForeverBlack or anything like it. It comes off with it. Id use the product you mentioned or Rustoleum for Plastic. Sand and rinse and it should bond pretty well

There is adhesion promoter that should be used.

Forgot to ask. I bought my jeep about a year ago and when I bought it the fenders were all nice and black. I am guessing the dealer put some armor all on it or something like that. I have not put anything else on them to make them black. Will there be any residue left on them? Do in need to clean them with something else besides soap and water before I paint? Thanks

What is the adhesion promoter called? Can I use it on both plastic and metal? Will it work with the duplicolor bed liner? Thanks

I used black Rustoleum Plastic from Home Depot. I did not use anything other than wiping them down with alchohol prior to spraying. I did the flares and the bumper end caps. Its only been on about 3 months but it looks good.

I used herculiner bed liner on my flares and bumpers and all of the door moldings all the way down the doors below the rockers. The kit is 90.00 and I have plenty left over to do touch ups but have not had to touch up anything yet.

I used rustoleum bedliner on my flares, bumpers, and doors. I paid less that 40 dollars for the kit and bedliner. It is more durable than any paint will be

Well I'm glad I found this when I did. Because I need to hit up my bumpers and fenders really bad. Do most fenders and bumpers come off easily?

I dont recommend taking them off. The flares dont go back on easily. I suggest taping and going from there

good question, or can you just just tape/mask it off? I have bad luck taking stuff off and getting it back on the right way lol
