I bought a new 1990 XJ Laredo and clearly recall the dealership salesman saying that I had 3 choices ... nothing, an overhead console or a "sun roof that would probably leak within a few years". I appreciated his honesty and opted for a console. I'm glad to hear though that after all these years some have proven him wrong. Coincidentally I picked up a console a few days ago for my current 1989 Limited.

Default Glue sunroof glass into roof hole

How would you guys secure the glass from my old sunroof to the roof on a 95 xj country? Old ASC sunroof doesn't work and I just want the glass piece back up on the roof. Don't need glass to open or move only stay put. Just not sure how to mount and seal the glass to the roof without the old sunroof broken bulky housing piece. Not sure how to get it glued though. Maybe tape it up to keep it in place then get some water tight seal or glue? Would that hold or would I need some new sort of support or bracket inside to keep it from falling down? Any resources or links or videos would be great, I cant find anything good. thanks

I would love a moonroof. I don't care if it started leaking, because I would fix it correctly and make sure it was good.

I'm just one of those that likes the open feeling, having that extra bit of ventilation w/o having to open side windows, etc etc etc......

I love the T-tops on my Camaro, my 2016 Ram Laramie Longhorn had a full sunroof. Loved it. My brothers 2018 Cummins has a sunroof and I usually open it when I get in the truck to go somewhere.... fishing, shooting, the liquor store....

Of course having a cover that matches the headliner for the glass would be a must for the hot summer days and keeping the sun from blasting on your head and face during a middle of the day drive.

Default 99 XJ Sunroof

My 99 sport has the "factory" sunroof. Yesterday it didn't leak, today it has decided it is going to leak. PO disconnected the wire so he wouldn't accidentally open it and tear the seal. Now I am trying to source a new seal. Does anyone have a source?
