Default Factory rubber floors

ok so i just finished bedlining my cargo area as is been parked for a while and i hadnt realized the rear window was leaking so the carpet was wet and stinky now along with the fact that it was already stained with oil and grease and dirt but i dont plan on doing the passenger area as the jeep is already noisy and hot enough plus i dont feel like hiding all the wiring that is under there...its an 89 LTD and ive had the carpets out because of water before so i know whats under there

now to the rubber floors, did certain model XJs come from the factory with rubber floors ive searched but just find posts about people bedlining their interiors, but growing up i seem to remember my dads XJ having rubber floors and i think it was base model cause it had no power options and was the carbed 4banger with those amazing vinyl seats lol. problem is i dont remember seeing any rubber floors at the wrecker mind you i was never looking so if ya guys know what models came with it that would be great thanks

hmm good to know ill have to keep an eye out when go to the wreckers then cause i hate this carpet crap but i like the fact that it kills some of the noise and keeps things insulated in the winter

I would yank my carpet in a minute if i could get factory vinyl flooring in mine......

There is a aftermarket company in anniston alabama that makes pre fit replacement carpet and they sell a vinyl kit also ...

Only thing with it is that it isnt pre molded as the factory stuff is and makes for a lumpy/loose install.

i was seriously looking at purchasing that premolded vinyl....ACC upolstery or something... until i found a write up on it and the guy wound up putting the carpet back in cause the vinyl is really stiff and he couldnt get the trim back on properly especially in the cargo area even after trying with a heat gun to soften it up so i think ill just wait till i come across some at the wrecker cause im not to picky on color as long as its not worn out ill be happy
