factory roof rack compatibility

factory roof rack compatibility
Does anyone know if the factory roof racks are compatible from newer ones? I have an '87 with crummy rail ***** that don't spin anymore, and would like to just go to the bone-yard and get one off a newer XJ.

Yes you can get the newer style rack off the same body style 91-95 it should line up with the same holes I believe 97-01 have a different roof line so no... But you might beable to mod it to work hope that helps
