yes the ground for the switch should be there too. it would probably be easyest to just plug it into your switch, and cut and run the single wire to the relay keeping it all factory wiring but controling the aftermarket setup.

That was what I was thinking. I was messing around with the switch location today and I cant figure out how the cover comes out. It looks like the blank location is molded in. Why would they do that?

yeah its annoying. i have picked up a new switch panel with 3 slots... i dont know of a way to make the factory switch work and look good by modifying it.
