Default Factory Air box

When I got my '98 XJ it had an aftermarket intake with an open air filter. I'm now looking for a factory airbox cause I plan on adding a snorkle down the road.

What years XJ factory airbox will fit my '98?

Thanks

Any of them off of a 4.0 should fit. I'd get one from a 97-99 just to be safe though.

I pulled one from a 97-01 Cherokee (not sure what year) at pull-a-part here in Atlanta. It bolted up perfectly and I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but I swear the jeep drives better with the factory air box than the aftermarket tube that was on it when I bought it.

As long as you can get the tubes for your crankcase ventilation, any airbox can be set up to work correctly.

96-01 are identical. 91-95 will fit but need some minor trimming on the front.
