extreme rattling, knocking when turning

I checked the search and couldnt find nothing helpful so here we go. Gradually the jeeps been makin a louder and louder noise while turning as the weeks go on. i turned the wheels and jacked it up and when i spun the wheels it was some hardcore rattling. wheel bearings or u-joints? its been parked for a week cause i dont want the wheels lockin up or anything and i havent got a chance to investigate cause iv been sick so anybody have any ideas? and know what this fix might cost? thank you much

It sounds more like the u-joint/CV at the hub area to me. Which do you have? To check for a bad/loose hub bearing, raise it up a little and grab the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock positions. Wiggle the tire in and out towards center of truck checking for play. If no play is evident I'd say it's the u-joint (or CV) at the hub. JMO
