Default Explain This One!?!?!?

Both upper control arms are the same length. The drivers side is attached. How in the world could this happen?

Roving bands of mechanics with a penchant for attaching equal length XJ upper control arms? On the drivers side?

Sorry. I may have been driving when I did this one. The drivers side upper control arm mount seems normal but the pass side is about an inch more forward. Tell me this isnt normal. HAHAHA Wheres my pic. I thought I posted a pic. Hang on a sec.

My bad...not roving mechanics installing, but gremlins removing....

...and stop posting while you're driving, thank you

LOL

So yeah, if you lost a bolt, the axle can twist and not line up right. Ratchet straps to pull it back in line and re-install your hardware.

Does it matter that the UCAs are diff lengths. The drivers side is 15.5ish and pass side is 16.5. Only way I could get my 3-4 degrees pos caster.

Didn't you say they were equal length? Are they adjustables?

Are you trying to correct straight-line tracking, is it pulling to one side?

First I put both at 15.5. Used straps and pulled like crap and made it work. Drove like crap. So I took it apart. Set the caster at 3-4 degrees positve off of the driver side UCA and the took the pass side UCA and adj it titll the bolt went thru. Roughly 16.25 inches. It drives so much better. Wheelbase is exactly the same. Toe is good. Caster is good and center is good. Could that have come from factory like that?
