97 XJ 4.0. APN Header, 2.5 inch pipe to my high flow magnaflow cat, 2.5 inch to my super 40 flowmaster, 2.1/4 turndown before the axle. mine sounds great. Doesn't sound anything like a V8 but i am pleased with it. the turndown made it really loud inside, i may run it all the way out the back..

Wow how many adapters did that take lol. It was loud and low because of the exhaust resonance - with no pressure to force it's way out

i have to partially disagree with this...true i dont think they have enough pressure to get the full end sound out of the 40 or 44 at that but i dont think they sound to bad or obnoxious on the I6

I run 2.25" pipe from the manifold to a SLP loudmouth2 muffler with a 2.5" tailpipe. It sounds pretty good and a little deep. It has no cat therefore is not driven on the street. You can hear the exhaust pretty good on this video

I use a high flow magna flow cat and a flowmaster delta 40. It's actually quite quiet if the radio is at 1/8th volume I can hear it except for hard acceleration. I absolutely love the setup. And there is no real drone that I've found. I drove 7 hours from ms to Texas and had no issues, barely heard the exhaust. Very deep growl too

Summit has some inexpensive to moderately priced "bolt on" cat-back exhausts, starting around $150 up to around $450. Do these things fit the vehicle as advertised?

I ask because a few years back I picked up a Hooker dual exhaust for my '72 F250 and it wasn't even close to fitting. Paid $150 for the exhaust and $150 to have an exhaust shop fit it up.

I bought my Dynomax cat-back exhaust with the tip and 2.5in piping for $75 after the mail and rebate. It fit quite well to me. It took maybe 20 minutes to get the old one off and 10 to put the new one on.
