Flowmaster is quite a bit louder than stock so be aware. Magnaflow is a little quieter. IMO

If you are going to get the flowmaster just head to a muffler shop and have it instead...be just as cheap if not cheaper...

I've used the Dynomax cat back system on my 96 and 99 XJs. I like the sound, but, here in PA, they rust out pretty bad after 3-5 years.

Go to Youtube.com and do a search for "Cherokee XJ Flowmasters". You'll find video's of the 40 and 50 series. You can tell the 50 series has a deeper sound to it. Hope this helps

I installed this kit with a new cat last fall. Love it.. i wanted something quieter than the Rusty's with Flowmaster and this fit the bill.

I do alot of backcountry two-track driving, checking out the scenery etc.. and noticed a few times i barely got a glimpse of a wild animal such as Bears because they heard me coming from quite aways out. I wanted to remedy that... and it's seemed to help.

Heres the kit at Summit $139.

I would suggest running it out all the way. The tail pipe emissions are somewhat caustic and will cause rust in the long term

I have the Flowmaster Super 40 with stock cat and it sounds good. Taking the stock cat off to get a little more flow and deeper sound though.
