Default exhaust setup

Just wondering if anyone has put an echo tip right after a glass pack... my glasspack is attached directly to my cat, then I have over 2 feet of tubing going over the rear axle and out the back... The sound directly out of the glasspack is real nice without the extra tubing... Just wondering if someone has a clip of a setup with an echo tip right behind the pack, and if this would be a good idea...

thanks guys!!

I used to run a glasspack with a 90 degree tip right after it on my YJ so it came out the side. Sounded cool around town but on the highway it was annoying.

I think it is a resonator tip. Probably evens out the racket that comes out of the glasspack and makes it slightly smoother and quieter. I was embarrassed every time I had to get on the gas of my old beater truck with a glasspack. A resonator welded in helped slightly. I never did get around to buying a normal muffler.

So yes, if it is a resonator that bolts on the end, it might help a little bit with the full throttle noise.

I like the sound of a large echo tip. Takes a little bit of the raspy sound out and gives a deeper tone... thanks for the input guys!!

is that those long wider tips people have on the end of their exhaust on pickups and hot rods?

i loved having glaspaks on my mustang. that was the only thing it had as it as a 65

I would start with using a better quality muffler instead of spending money on extra stuff that would not normally be necessary.
