Hahaha, I appreciate that Cruiser!

Yes sir, I was born and raised in Taxachusetts. My parents still live in the house I grew up in (about 6 miles from where I am) and since I have no garage I frequently use theirs.
I'll be escaping to NH in a couple of years.

Nice! You said you moved away young, have you been in AZ the whole time? It seems like a lot of folks on here are in AZ - I'm guessing its due to the wheeling opportunities and low rust.

CA to AZ seems like a bigger version of MA to NH. One state with high taxes and regulations and no guns and you cross the border and it's just the opposite.

The wheeling opportunities are awesome with open "off" roads everywhere. There's a trail guide for these roads that you can buy. I have lived back east and was disappointed in how few back country roads there were compared to the west. I grew up in Northern New Mexico and there are just as many open roads there as there are here.

When I lived back east I dated a girl whose parents lived in Framingham. How far is that compared to where you are?

It's pretty close. Maybe 30 min. drive.

I'm also about 45 min from Worcester (pronounced "wuss - ter") where for many years the San Jose NHL Minor league affiliate "Worcester Sharks" played.

My girlfriend at the time asked me how I pronounced that city and of course not knowing I pronounced it differently, she laughed. She also laughed at how I pronounced Peabody. I watched Sherman and Mr Peabody as a kid, I didn't know it was "peebutty".

My Dad worked in Peabody for years.

There are youtube videos of folks trying to pronounce some of the cities in this state like the locals do. (And that's without throwing in the R dropping accent)
I work near Haverhill (hay-vrull) and then of course there's Leicester (Lester), gloucester (glah-ster), etc.

Pittsfield however, is pronounced as you'd expect.

I always get a "do what?" in my head when I hear a person say "butty" instead of "boddy." But I'm from the deep South and doubt most northerners could understand my princely Engrish.

I lived in Richmond Va for a while. There was a town called Powhite. No it wasn't for poor white trash and was pronounced Pow Hite. Its an indian (feather not dot) name. They also had Powhatan and Chincohominy, so many weird names.
