Both. Also a good time to look at your transmission mount.

geez...i dont mind having it done...but wow...

i just spent 150 on a new header, now im fixing motor and trans mounts

but luckily i think the 150 on a new header was the most expensive

luckily motor mounts are not too bad...and a co-worker is a mechanic so im sure he can handle it...if not...i will take it to a local shop....might not be the cheapest...but then it will be done right

It's not that bad of a job. Invite some friends over and make an afternoon of it.

I had a simular issue... I thought I had a bad manifold but after removal find the PO had busted the last stud off in the head, the one closest to the firewall and just left it there and installed an aftermarket manifold. Anyways, I recommend since youre at it.. include a flex connector between the header and cat... pretty cheap and great insurance. Just my .02

I called a co worker of mine, told him the issue and he just laughed

I asked him why he was laughing, and he said

"this sounds like your last 4 cherokee's....why dont you try something different"

I said "its a jeep thing, you wouldnt understand"

but he says he can do the manifold/header and the motor mounts.....and i dont have to pay shop labor prices....i pay in beers

Amazon.com is another inexpensive source for an exhaust manifold, $110 shipped. I've bought 2 through amazon and haven't had any problems with them.
