Im putting a pacesetter header on my 1988 Comanche renix 4.0, I want to put new bolts/studs on when I replace the header and pull the intake off. Where can I get them. I already called the dealership and it would take them a week to get in and cost around 80 bucks! Is there other options what are Oem replacements that are cheaper?

- Take a 1/4" steel plate and get a 7/16" or 1/2"" steel ball.
- Drill a 1/2" or 5/8" hole through the steel plate.
- Set a washer over the hole, centred as much as possible.
- Put the steel ball on the screw hole in the washer.
- Give it one solid whack with a larger hammer.
- Repeat with the rest of the washers.
The studs are also threaded 3/8"-16 - buy them about 2.25" long, or cut them from threaded rod and dress the ends. Place a stud in each of the far end holes and in the top centre hole, they're there to allow you to "hang" the exhaust in place while you set up the intake and not drop it on your feet. Bowl-shaped washers should used under the nuts for the studs as well.
I tend to suggest using brass or bronze screws to replace the manifold hardware, but reports form the field indicate that they are failing on installation - probably being shipped "full soft," so they'd want heat-treatment to bring them up to "half hard" and make them more useful. If you can find them in "half hard" or "full hard," go with those.
