I have several cracks in my exhaust manifold. I am wondering what (besides the obvious) are the symptoms of this? Will it cause the jeep to tug at highway speeds? I have noticed a pretty significant loss in MPGs and power. Although I found that phenomenon that when your car sounds broke, you drive it slowly. This is subconscious and can feel like a loss of power when it is just you afraid to hit the gas. At least that is what happens to me. I tested this theory today on some back roads and when I hit the gas, the jeep woke the hell up!
Anyway, what are some of the symptoms of exhaust manifold cracks besides the annoying sounds?

When I am cruising on the highway at about 65 or so, it feels like it is tugging. It is even and smooth, then kinda tugs at it then smooths back out. could that be from the exhaust? I have done a full tune up and switched to 784 injectors.

Yeah, just crap. I found one crack on my 98. Probably has more. Not worried about it ATM. However, a fellow member posted this link. I will be making this purchase shortly.

I wanted something stainless (not cast iron), and this is a nice cheap package for the whole kit. Plus a 5% coupon... C-AM00025 <--- Code.

That is a really good price for a stainless manifold. Being factory replacement I bet the fit is better as well. Maybe I will go this route. Still have some thinking to do.
