Got a question for the XJ gang. I need to replace most of the exhaust on my '00 4.0 Sport. I'm trying to find out if the pre-00 Dorman improved exhaust manifold (674-196) will clear the horseshoe intake manifold. Anybody done it? Other advice welcome as well. Thanks!
No it will not fit The exhaust ports on the 00/01 are smaller on the 0331 head so the gasket is different. , there are no cats or the 4 O2 bungs on the dorman exh and the pre 00 manifold is shorter then the 00 so it will not reach your down/crossover pipe flange. If you DO NOT have the 0331 head then it will fit
