Exhaust donut at the manifold
I put a total new exhaust system on the wife's Jeep
. The after market donut/seal was too big for the flared end on the pipe, so I had to re-use the old one. Advance auto folks sent me another one, thinking it was the wrong p/n, but it didin't fit either. Anyone have this issue ? I guess I'll have to locate a dealer & see if a factory part will fit correctly..

Too big which way? When I replaced my exhaust, I could not get the downpipe bolts to start with the new donut in there. It was very thick. I ended up using longer bolts to get the new donut in and compressed. After that, I switched back to the shorter bolts. IT's most likely not a problem reusing the old one. As long as it seals it, doesn't matter if it's old or new.
