this isn't a reply, it's a question, forgive my ignorance if i'm doing this wrong but i really need help. i have a 1996 jeep cherokee 6 cyl. 4.0. it's missing badly and when i pull the error codes i get error code 27 6 times. when i pull the connector off of injector 1 there is no change in the idle. if i remove any other connector it runs worse. if i take a voltage reading, no.1 is getting 11+ volts all other injectors are getting 7+ volts. any suggestions on what i should check?

 

try replacing the injector

 

thanks for your help but i've replaced battery, plugs, and wires and 3 injectors but nothing seems to help, i'm frazzeled

 

have you pulled the dist cap and looked at the condition of the sync sensor /cps it tell the ecm when to squirt the injectors

 

no i havent, what does it look like and where exactly is it located

 

i looked into those codes and i guess it's saying that all of my injectors aren't responding properly

i really appreciate your help, i replaced the relay but when i was workin on it i did arc a wire so it's possible that i need to change the relay again, i'll check the sync sensor and ecm, that is the computer right? again, thanks for your help and your time, i had exhausted my little brain power.

I had something similar on my 99. Injector harness had melted. Check for a shirt circuit on your harness
