Default Erratic Idle

My idle is going really low, like 200 and nearly dying unless I give it gas, and after driving for a while it idles in park at around 1500..it's annoying because of how hard I need to push the brake pedal to stop because it idles around 1000 in drive...I have no vacuum leaks, new plugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil change with filter, cleaned the TB. I don't know what it could be. Do Jeeps need to sometimes "relearn" the idle speed? I've read about some cars needing to "relearn" their idle by leaving them in park for 10 minutes or so..

One of them I believe the iac is right on the throttle body. It's two bolts and a wiring clip. It looks like a ***** and if it is bad sometimes it will have the top of it will be pushed out really far and the spring will be really exposed. It's hard to explain if it wasn't dark I would take a pic.

Have you reset the throttle stop screw that your buddy messed with?

Nope I couldn't figure out how to get something inthere to turn it. I'll try the allen wrench when I get back from coyote hunting in the morning.

The IAC is on the left of the throttle body. The MAP Sensor is on the right, The FSM says you can only test the IAC with a DRB scanner. It doesn't look like you can hook up a multi meter to it to see if it's working.

Hey guys, someone has "helped" him by turning the throttle body butterfly stop screw in and has that screwed up. Until that is addressed, and I told him how to, all bets are off on it being anything else until that is rectified.
