Default engine starts overheating. Why?

ok guys I really need your help. Heres the background: I have a 93 cherokee with a brand new motor i put in with only the 2000 miles I have put on it since I got it. Its a 4.0 ho with a 5.5in lift on 33's and SYE and about 500 or more pounds of added metal from the front, rear bumper, exo cage, rock sliders spare tire and tools. i also have the stock 3.55 gearing.
I'm having a problem with the engine getting above normal opporating temperatures when im climbing any hill no matter what gear I'm in. I have a new radiator and water pump and fluid and i even vented the hood and put a switch on the electric fan so i can keep in running all the time. there are no coolent leaks or oil leask at all.
My thought is that its my gearing. I was thinking of changing it to 4.10 cause i want to pull my small tent trailer with it as well. I was looking into a high volume water pump but those dont help that much in the higher RPM's. What should I do?

If it get hot at lower speeds or idling or climbing hills at slower speed it is commonly caused by a failing fan clutch. Also when you installed you new rad and water pump did you put in a new t-stat? If not you may also want to put in a new one the recommended temp for the 4.0 is a 195 t-stat. Change those 2 things out and it should take care of your problem that is when you changed out all of the other part you gave the entire cooling system a good flushing too. Let us know if this takes care of your problem.

I replaced my clogged heater core and that seemed to solve my overheating problems. You might consider that.

when i turn my heater on i can bring down the engines temp. So thats telling me the heater core is working. I have a lot of added medal on the jeep like my exo cage, slides, and front and rear bumper and my skid plates. comes out to be like an added 500+ lbs. whould my stock gearing and all the added weight be an issue?

Okay let's see a list of all the items you HAVE replaced. Heater cooling your Jeep downs mean something is clogged or not moving enough air.

A transmission cooler is strongly recommended for the AW4, as is regearing.

x2. Your transmission hates you. 500+lbs of extra weight, 33" tires, and stock gears... I would consider getting the biggest transmission cooler you can fit in front of the mech fan and bypass the radiator cooler.

A lot of the guys i wheel with have all that extra weight also and do fine with 3.55 gears. I dont think its your gearing. Try replacing your heater hoses, the bottom rad hose has a tendency to collapse when it gets older.

If you plan on towing, i would definately regear, will be tough on the freeway with all the added weight. Also tranny cooler!

Check your trans fluid, I have heard of people having low trans fluid and it getting to hot, heating the radiator fluid up as it passes through to cool.

I just replaced my radiator hoses and the new lower one didn't have a spring inside so I put the old one in. Not 100% sure that is right but thats what I did. Maybe your problem in addition to all that weight and tires.
