Default Engine Start Problems....

Recently every time I turn the ignition over, it takes 2 times for it to start. The past two days it literally takes me 6-8 times turning the key while it's in neutral to start it. Someone told me it was a control module issue. I was just wondering if anyone has ever ran into this problem and if I got bum information. Also maybe someone can give me additional information concerning this issue.

I always get good information and tips from this forum, THANKS GUYS!

The fuel pump should run just a few seconds when you turn the ign on. (no need to crank it). If turning it on, and off a few times first, then hitting it makes it start, probably the check valve in the fuel pump is shot. It's called "the poor man's prime!". Some folx just run like that since changing the pump is the "cure". Worth a try anyway!
