map went out today, replaced it already.
manifold bolts are torqued.
still misfiring though.
cant find the camshaft position sensor at any part dealers

should i have a compression test done?
any other advice?

Rockauto has it its also called sync pulse generator ignition pick up and stator lol.

im gonna pick up a stator and see if it resolves the problem.
definitely praying that it fixes this issue.

I seriously doubt it will fix it. Have you considered a remanufactured distributor since they come with the sync generator?

I've thought it but im not still doubting every new part. the fact that it only happens when it has warmed up fully, still confuses me on what it could be.

Warmed up fully points to the oxygen sensor.........

Take the dizzy cap off and see if you've got any side to side play in the shaft.

I will be watching this as well. I am having the same problem, yesterday it bairly ran at startup and the check engine light was blinking. (it is always on now and has been thru the process of me trying to fix it) evap and random misfire, type cylinder 3 and cylinder 6.
