Default engine knock help

so recently my motor started ticking I got nervous and pulled the oil pan and there was no metal in it so i put it back on and put in new oil than I pulled the valve cover and everything looked fine and nothing looked bent or had play what is a common cause for this or steps I should go about to fix it because im trying to sell the jeep also it doesnt affect the power oil pressure reads a little bit higher and it idles fine

also this was a video before the new oil it sounds a little better now sorry for the bad quality

sound like lifter tick go to the auto parts and get some treatment for that not the cheap **** just ask they will show you

any idea what its called?and also it all started after I hit a big pothole

Could be a bad lifter or bent push rod.

I can't imagine how hitting a pot hole would cause a lifter or push rod to start making noise. Maybe it's a coincidence, but did you look underneath to see if something else might be causing the sound? Maybe it's something like the inspection cover hitting the flex plate?
