EARLIER THE ENGINE CONTROL FUSE BLEW ON THE JEEP SO I PUT A BOBBY PIN IN PLACE TO GET HOME.. IT RAN FINE FOR A LITTLE BIT BUT WOULD POP WHEN SLOWING DOWN AS IF I WAS DOWN****ING A MANUAL TRANS. AFTER A FEW MILES THE MOTOR STARTING CUTTING IN AND OUT AND WOULD WANT TO DIE IF YOU DIDNT GIVE IT GAS. ALSO, WHEN THE FUSE BLEW WHEN I TURNED THE KEY I DIDNT HEAR THE FUEL PUMP COME ON EITHER...? wtf IS GOION ON? HAS ANYONE HAD THHIS HAPPED. THE JEEP IS A DAILY DRIVER AND HAS TO BE DRIVEN 30 MINUTES TO WORK AND BACK EVRY DAY. ALSO, AFTER IT SITS FOR A WHILE AND THEN TRY TO GO SOMEWHERE IT RUNS PERFECTLY FINE AT FIRST BUT THEN GOES BACK TO THE MOTOR CUTTING IN AND OUT

 

Can you take a picture of where you put the bobby pin in? The ECU, of all things, shouldn't need a fuse nor should you attempt to jury rig it. Please take your CAPS off too, it looks like you're yelling.

 

yep give me one second and sorry lol i was kinda yelling im so frustraded this is why i hate electronics.

 

and no it wasnt the eco it was the fuse box under the hood

i couldnt upload it but i just put the bobby pin in place of the engine control fuse in the fuse box under the hood

 

 

having the same problem right now 95 4.0 i traced the wires to the ecu so i unplugged it and turned it over my engine control fuse did not blow guessing theres a short in the ecu let me know what you find out i still have to get an ecu it confirm this is my fix im hopping so
