Default Emergency! Need Help!

Hey guys, I have never really had any major issues with either of my cherokees before, but today is a new day. Driving down the road at about 40 it started bucking and missing real bad. Had no response. Pulled over and popped the hood. The entire engine is shaking pretty bad. Tried driving it to mechanic shop. On the way it made to really hard jerks and then straightened out completely until the next time I fired it up. Now it starts to buck pretty hard once I start to accelerate over 40. Coasting is fine, but giving it gas over 40 really messes with it. This is my daily and need help fast. All fluid level are great, oil pressure is great, and it's hasn't been over heating.

Are you sure? Have you had a competent mechanic check for codes?

I'd start by testing the CPS.

Sorry, I realized after my last reply that I haven't had the codes run yet, but the check engine light isn't coming on.

Ran the codes: P0202-Injector 2. P0300 Misfire. P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire. P0420-Catalyst(???) P0306-Cylinder 6 Misfire. I'm thinking I made to replace the coils and maybe a few injectors. Does that sound about right?

And I will also be changing the Fuel Filter.

What is the fuel pressure in psi? It's a little early to just start replacing everything.

I have no idea what the fuel pressure is honestly. Don't know how to check it myself, and don't feel like paying someone $100 just tell me the fuel pressure. Any suggestions? Thinking about switching the 1 and 2 fuel Inj just to see if the reading will change to the 1 spot. If it does then I at least know that one of the inj is bad.

"Any suggestions?"

1. Relax. Take a deep breath, hold it, exhale, ahhhhhhhh........
2. Borrow a fuel pressure gauge from Vatozone or the like.

Ok. I can do that. What should the pressure read on the fuel pressure gauge? If the pressure is normal what should my next step be? If the pressure isn't then what?

as suggested check your fuel pressure (i dont have the exact spec) but 40 - 50 psi in that range, if that is ok what are the condition of your spark plugs? Inspect wiring to the injectors.....

Change the fuel filter before you do anything else.
