How do I take out that piece of the break and put it into a new lever?

 

Squeeze all the tabs in and push it through

 

Thanks I figured it out I used a flat head and pushed them in. By any chance do you know how tight I should make the break or should I make it loose
Right now I have it where I think it was before but I feel like I'm dragging something

 

three or 4 clicks up should start getting harder to pull.
