i have a 88 cherokee and i lost power to my bulb for the clock the cd player and when you turn on your lights your speed tachs and stuff are supposed to light up but they dont either. turn signals show up and so do my 4 wheel drive lights and hazards and high beam and gas low lights. heater works and i think the cig lighter works can anyone tell me what my problem might be???? non of the fuses are blown but for the fuse that says radio 15 i took a test light to it while it was running and it had no voltage running through it and neither did the one that said clock what could that be??

How did you check the fuses? was there power on one side of the fuse but not the other? if so its the fuse. Sometimes they look good through the eye but with a ohm meter they are not. Check a fuse under the dash called "INST" for the dash lights.

I told you to check the "INST" fuse and the dash lights dimmer switch in your last thread about this problem. You never said if you did this....
I makes good sense to check the easy stuff first and then did into the wiring only if you have to.

i just pulled all my fuses and used a test light on the fuse itself with a circuit tester thing that says if it is a open circuit and found out the trans fuse was blown and thats about it then i turned the jeep on and used a regular test light and put it in the radio one and clock on and neither were getting power. i took my radio out so i could see the wires and i ran a wire straight from the batter and put it on the ignition and the battery wire for the cd player and it turned on just fine and worked like it was supposed to so its not the radio but idk ive been thinking about it and i cant figure it out i started to take the dash apart and then i left it alone till tomorrow

check your grounds!!! That should be one of the first things you check when you are unsure of a electrail problem and have checked all the other basics then go to the replacing thing.
