Electrical problems
1998 Cherokee sport. I have some intersting electrical problems and I need a place to start. The power door locks automatically cycle when I'm driving, both rear turn signals are lit when I have the headlights on. Right turn signal blinks, but so does the digits on the trip meter. Left turn signal does not blink at all. Any constructive advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
A good start with weird electrical issues is starting with cleaning up grounds/connections.
CCKen has posted some nice pics from all the grounds in the past (he has a 1998 too btw IIRC, but I could be mistaken, it's been a while). It is good to see what that does and if anything, to take it out of the equation.

Indeed, a good first step.
Below are pics of the various ground points in the engine bay.
Each needs to be disassembled and the ring terminals cleaned using Scotch Brite pads or 400 grit sandpaper. The fender grounds and the firewall ground points need to have the body sheet metal cleaned of all rust.
Before attempting to remove the ground fasteners I highly recommend applying penetrating oil to the fastener joints and let set for a day. There have been cases of people snapping the heads off the fasteners trying to break them loose.
I'm not sure, but I think the '98 has an alternator ground at the coil mount so I've included a pic of that and the '99 as well because it shows the function of the ground.
Primary battery to chassis ground. If you snap the head off of this bolt you can remove the right front wheel and wheel well liner to get at the bolt stub that can be removed with a 6" pipe wrench.
Primary battery to engine block ground.

If, after addressing these grounds, you still have the same issues, the Junction Block may be ate up with corrosion. But this is for later. :-)
