Angry Electrical problem

Headlights dont work high or low beam, dash lights(blinker and high beam indicator stays on) when I pull the headlight switch blinkers go faster but still no headlights,using either blinker all lights (tail and front blink) please tell me someone has had this problem before)1996 jeep cherokee with 309000 miles, pretty hard not having headlights

K I cleaned the conector left side front fixed the blinker problem , now no headlights or high beam indicator on dash ,ideas?

Check for power to the "power in" side of the headlight switch. Check for "power out" after switch is turned on. It is important to check for DC volts at this location. I'm assuming you've already done this at the headlights. Trace the power upstream or downstream as the results of the "tests indicate. You will find the source of the problem if it is a power loss problem. If the power is good at the headlights and switch then the problem is a bad ground. Clean your grounds and you will be good to go.

First problem was a nasty conector trans fluid leaked on it from rad conection, tested light sno power, high beam indicator doesnt come on at all now, will remove dash and check switch next,Thinking O should just replace the fuses linked too lights and high beam indicatoer as the jeep is 25 yrs old and has over 300k miles thanks

Default New related problem ( Have light but with issue)

I found a fuse which was missing doesnt look like it was ever there,anyway I put it in , now I have high beams only if I hold the arm back as if I were engaging the highbeams, they only stay on if I continue too ho;d it, when releasing I have no lights, low beams dont work at all, any help greatly apprevited, at least I feel like im making progress

My headlights didnt work one time both high and low beam and it ended up being the high beam switch under the dash came undone.

Where exactly will I find it under the dash please?

Look under the dash as you click the high beams on and off you should see a shaft move. Yours may be different mine is an 87.

My 90 I think has a circuit breaker low on the fuse panel. Might be holding the lever back by-passes it.

Pull the little metal box and check it for continuity.
